I have also just got my Dell Axim x51v (624mhz) and thought the 'ol' bluetooth setup would be easy!...like how USB is.
Not so (for me anyway)
I purchased a USB bluetooth dongle for my PC (£5 on Ebay..brand new!)
Installed the drivers and was ready to go.
Turned on my PDA, run the 'BlueSoleil' software on my PC.
My PC was symbolised by a ball in the middle of the diagram on the Bluetooth software. Other devices are represented in a circle around the center ball. (Like satelites in orbit).
I did manage to get the 2 devices to eventually link to eachother but had to a fair amount of 'faffing about'. I thought it would be so easy.

Apparently you can get the PDA to sync to your PC via bluetooth but i couldn't.
Couldn't get the net on either. Run WM5 Internet Explorer, says 'Cannot Connect', tap 'Settings', 'Add a new Modem connection','Enter Name of Connection'..select 'Bluetooth' as your modem, Click 'Next'
Then you have to setup a 'Partnership' between your PDA and your PC.
Did that and it scanned for Bluetooth devices, my PC came up, selected that, clicked 'Next' then select services 'Activesync' but then it goes back to selecting 'New Partnership' ?????
I shall have to mess about and see what I'm doing wrong!
Any ideas of where I'm going wrong would be appreciated
