Has anyone made something like this for the x50v yet? I'm going to guess that no amount of AA's will supply the current for charging while running, but even if i could charge it while the axim was off (similar to what the USB cable does if you do not plug in the AC adapter) that would be great.

the wall adapter spits out 5.4v, USB has a max output voltage of 5v, so i'm going to guess that if i took 4AA's and just put it into the axim it should at the least charge....

i'm going on a 16 hour airplane flight, and I can only read so much lol. I am hoping to dump a few movies to my axim and watch them over the flight, but best i can do is about 4 hours with the batteries i have

Look on ebay, their are plenty of these available.

The one I purchased came as part of a travel kit that included an AC charger, USB sync cable, car charger and this AA battery kit.

Think I paid abour $15,00 for the kit

Thanks for the tip! I couldnt find the deal you had, but I did pickup a charger. now to start ripping DVD's to my 1GB SD card
