Hi,
i'm a bit of a computernerd, and on the otherside, i'm a bit of a biker freak (i drive a honda fireblade) :-)
Lately i combined these 2 hobbies, i bought the dell axim X50v, and the emtec BTGPS trine 2 bluetooth GPS receiver
at first i just plugged in earphones to use the navigation software (i only use the audio guidance of the PDA), but the was quite unhandy underneath the helmet, and started to hurt after several hours of driving, so i started looking for another solution.
I found that Dainese was producing helmets with built-in bluetooth headsets, so i went to test-drive one, which worked fine, the pairing worked like it should, the headset worked flawlessly, so i ordered the helmet in the size and color i wanted.
i went to pick up the helmet last friday, but when i came home and wanted to pair it with my axim, it didn't work, i tried everything, but nothing worked, the PDA would say the pairing completed succesfully, but the helmet would just stay in pairing mode. when i tried to pair the helmet with another device (cellphone, computer etc) this worked fine, also the pda paired and worked flawlessly with other devices, so it seemed both devices were working fine.
so as a last resort, i hard-resetted the axim, after which the problem was solved, so i thought, ok it's weird, but it's gone now.
but the next day, the problem returned, exactly the same as above, i now made a backup, performed a hard-reset, and restored that backup, so generally that wouldmean the axim is restored to the way it was before the reset, but then it worked again.
when i wanted to leave for work this morning (after the PDA having been turned off for the night), the problem had returned once more
tonight i will try to hard reset the pda once more, and make sure no software/programs are installed, and try again the next day
the problem seems very weird to me as both devices seem to work fine, but just are not able to connect
maybe anyone got some ideas?
