Help please

I have just joined the forum and I was hoping that someone can help? I own a Dell Axim X50 and I have just purchased a Garmin map of North America. I have inserted the Mini SD card (using an SD adapter) into the Axim and it is not recognising the card. Is it just a question of inserting it and off it goes or do I need to install drivers etc before it will run the maps? Thanks for your help.

Hey Micky, welcome to the site, Looks like you need software to run the maps, see this page, I'm not sure, but I think the inability of the axim to recognise the card is due to the lack of this software. Although, what size is the card, 1 Gb is all the x50 with original rom would support. Try googling, "garmin maps sd x50v", there are lot's of results that may help you
