Memory Lapse

When I turned on my X5 the other day, everything on the unit, contacts, calendar, owner information etc., was deleted. The clock was even set back to 2003. Has anybody ever had this happen and, if so, is it possible to retrieve the data that was on it? Thanks for any input.

Your backup battery is probably dead, and your main battery had probably ran down.
Change your backup battery.
