Know good CF cards models and sizes

just a question from a new member. I am looking to find the largest CF card that any of you folks have tried in the X5. I am assuming it only takes CF1 cards and would like a listing of the manufacturers, models and sizes that are confirmed to work. i don't want to waste big bucks on a 16 gb card if i can't use it.

Thanks for any and all info. I have already gleaned a lot of info from this site and find it to be excellent.

Now if I could just get the backup battery low warning to shut up I'd be golden, LOL!

Update! Good battery from Radio Shack did the trick

I have been using a CF card for quite some time with no problems I only have a 1 gb card as it was free from a colleague at work. Cant see why a larger one wont work

Got a Trancend 16 gig card and it works fine!

I am using a combination of drives with my Axim. I have 2gig CF flash drives for movies and programs.

I also use 3gig, IBM, and 4 gig, Hitachi, microdrives. These drives are great, but they run the battery down quickly. Took a little while to figure out that if you are going to be traveling, use flash drives and if the pda is docked or powered then you can use the microdrives.

I use a sd wireless card to log into the internet so most of my programs are installed on the cf flash cards, so that I can use the programs while on the internet.

I have not used anything bigger than 4 gig for cf and only 1 gb for the sd card.
