Hi folks,
I'm new to the forum.
I have just installed a 1 gig SD card. I don't see any indication that the Axim recognizes it. I've looked in "System" and "Memory". The drop down menu in "Memory" only says-'Built-in Storage".
I want to download some simple games, but I want to wait until I have plenty of room.
Please help.

Plevek, Welcome to the site
Try using file explorer to see if you can see the SD card.
Try a soft reset after inserting the card and then go back to file explorer and see if you can see the card.
If you have a card reader, you should check the format of the card. It should be FAT, which works best with the x5. You can format it from the PC.

I'm assuming that you are talking about upgrading your rom version. You can find the files here. Make sure you get the right one for your axim.

Thanks. I have downloaded the rom. My next problem is getting my ActiveSync to work.
It will disconnect before it synchronizes everything. I can't get it to download the new rom.
I did try rebooting to no avail.

Hi plevek-
First off, make sure you downloaded the correct ROM for your X5. There are L and H versions, L for the 300MHz and H for the 400MHz. If your ActiveSync isn't allowing you to copy the file to the card, you should try a CF card reader. Once the file is on the card you can put it in the X5, hit the right buttons, and be on your way with 2003. Good luck,
Mahstah
