Cf Gps Xtrac2 And Dell 5x
Well i bought this XTRAC 2 FGPCFCD02 off ebay and was hoping to make this thing work on my dell 5x but the software installs on my pc but no joy on my dell. What am i doing wrong there are three folders doc. tools and driver. The tools folder just has an install and thats it , a CF driver for win NT4 when i have XP and nothing for the dell. When i reset my pda the light flashes on the gps but then thats it. The instructions are useless for installation. This is suppose to work non bluetooth or am i wrong, be gentle with me I am new to this gps technology. There must be some way for my Dell to reconize this device. Please help

What GPS software do you have installed? What you have is a CF card that is BT dependant, you need a device to receive the GPS signal and then relay it to your CF via BT and then software to translate that into a map. The CF card is a component of a wider system

No dial up needed. Does Tom Tom recognise the card? It could have something to do with serial/com port configuration. Have a look at the PDA specific stuff on this page.
