tomtom bluetooth gps and tomtom6 won't work plz help

Hi

I have an X5 with Pocket Pc2003 on it, and was using with tomtom 5 and the tomtom bluetooth gps I decided to treat myself and got the tomtom Navigator 6 software

I had the can't find maps problem when i installed it but have fix it with the information from this great forum, but now I cant get tomtom Navigator 6 to see my bluetooth GPS

Any idears ?

Hi Matt, I know nothing about GPS but a little more detail would help. Which x5 do you have, BT adapter, make and model and details of the Tom Tom GPS unit

I have a "tomtom wireless gps MK2" bluetooth gps

My dell Axim X5 is the 400mhz one with pocket pc 2003 on it
and uses a dell true mobile 300 bluetooth adapter

I can't seem to get tomtom 6 to see my tomtom bluetooth gps I have reset my X5 then installed the CF timing update and the dell true mobile 300 driver then paired it with my tomtom bluetooth gps then installed tomtom 6 yet is still won't show up in the list in the tomtom 6 software (like it did in tomtom 5)
it just lists two wired gps units

Anything you can suggest I could try now?

I'm getting very frustrated

I'm getting very frustrated

The only thing I would suggest is to change the process around a little bit, and this is about pairing, not GPS in particular. Instead of pairing first, install the software then from tom tom go through the pairing process and see if that works. This is just a guess!

Have a look at this page. I can't say I can offer you much more help, as I said earlier I don't use GPS, but TomTom don't indicate compatibility of your device with x5. You might want to contact their support. Although threads say otherwise
