cab files

I have a couple of programmes that I want to install on my X5. I move the "cab" files onto my axim and click on them but I get an error message saying "there is no application associated with " the cab file".Run the application first, then open this file from within the application." I tried a hard reset to fix this problem, but its still there. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Check to see that the applications/cabs are compatible with your operating system. What rom version are you running.

The rom is A05 (updated it myself) and both the programmes i've tried are supposed to be for ppc2003.

You may want to redownload the .cab files and try again, they may be corrupt. Check also the size and file extensions, be sure you have cab files and not desktop installer files, .exe or .msi. What are the programs? That may give a clue.

Also try this freeware CabInstl 1.04 it may help.
