X5 with Delorme maps

I have an X5 and would like to use it as a GPS receiver. I have an USB GPS antenna that I have used for my laptop with Delorme software. The laptop is too bulky to bring in the car on trips so I thought about using the X5. Couple questions:

My X5 does not have any USB ports, is there an adapter which will allow me to use my current antenna or do I need to buy a CF GPS attachment?

What brand of maps are the best to use?

Any more info to help me out would be appreciated.

Prior to finding an adapter for your GPS receiver, you should firts look to see if their is a driver available to download for a PDA and specifically Windows mobile 2002 and /or 2003 depending on the ROM installed on your X5.

Personally, I suspect a driver will be difficult to find and to be honest an adapter might also prove difficult as most PDA solutions are either CF format ( as you correctly say) or use a PDA specific cable that needs a receiver with a RJ11 or PS2 fitting.

Regarding software, TomTom offers one of the better user interfaces, but is not strictly compatible with the X5 although I can assist you in solving this mall problem.
