Axim X5 + Tomtom 6 + Globalsat BC-337

Hi All,

My trusty ole X5 has been going well with Tomtom 6 and an all-in-one cradle GPS (sirf II).

I was thinking about upgrading the GPS to a Globalsat BC-337 for the sirf iii and so I can walk around with the GPS.

However, I seem to find mixed information if the Globalsat BC-337 is compatible with Tomtom 6.

Does anyone have some experience with this combination?

Hi Jeremy,
I use the Holux GR-271 with my Axim X5 and it works great with Navigator 6. It is similar to the GlobalSat and you get it for about the same price.

It's taken a long time for me to receive my GPS. However, I can confirm that everything works like a charm.

I didn't have to install any drivers etc. The 337 was automatically detected and Tom Tom could see the CF COMM port as an 'Other NMEA'.
