Improved Sound Through Radio Speakers
I have just purchased a FM Transmitter for my Dell Axim X5 and I am delighted with the results. It connects through the headphone socket and plays the sound track on the PDA through the car speakers. You have to tune the radio to a "dead" frequency and then set the FM Transmitter to the same frequency, that way when a message, tune or sound is broadcast it plays through the car radio speakers.
Now when I use my Tomtom the instuctions are crisp and clear. I found the best setting is to set the volume on the PDA at about a third and then to tune the volume on the radio to suit. I used to get so frustrated with the tinny sound on the Dell machine and just felt that I wanted to share this great news with all PDA users. This was one gadget that I did not know about. It was designed primarily to be used with ipod players, but I can confirm excellent results with the X5.
I guess it works perfectly with music files as well.
