Axim X5 Programming

Is it possible to Program the Axim X5 ?? If so what programming langauge would you use ?? Do you program on a Windows PC and then Download ??? or can you program directly on the X5 ??? I have done a little Programing in Visual Basic 6.0 Can this Programming Langauge be used ???

You can compile .net programs for Windows CE (Windows Mobile). Microsoft also provides an expensive VB 6 toolkit for PPC programming.
