Manwayvan.
I am a little surprised by your comments as the x5 is a very stable and well loved PDA.
But I think the answer to your concerns lies in your current and previous posts.
1) Their is a method of saving your personal info so that a hard reset does not loose the data. If you have downloaded and installed Activesync, the their is a back up /restore facility in this program. You should be using this. to back up all your data and then restoring once you have done a hard reset. This gives you back your PDA settings and data as it was.
I suspect that as you are new to this part of computing you were unaware of this
2) Your recent post indicates that you have to do a lot of hard resets which is very unusual. Most users of any PDA would not have to do so. Can I ask why you have to do so many hard resets ??. Is this due to another problem.
I noted your previous posts about overclocking the x5.. This is probably why you have stability problems.
As Mahstah has commented, even the fastest PDA will loose input data with a hard reset, but this should be a rare event and also the effects negligable if you have backed up via Activesync.
A soft reset ( pressing the reset button) is the most that a user should expect to normally have to do, and then infrequently.
Can you identify why you are hard resetting ??? This is the route of your problems as the x5 is very stable normally
