Trouble installing CF card driver

Hey all, I have an X5 with the TrueMobile 1180 CF WiFi card that does not work in my X5. When I put the card in, it says that it is an unrecognized card and that I need to enter the name of the device driver for the card. When I try to install the driver for the card off Dell's website, it says that the computer doesn't support the connected device type and will set aside the driver until a compatable device is connected. I know my hotsinc works because I have installed programs and other drivers successfully. I haven't been able to find any info online about this so any replies would help. Thanks!

I found interesting info on an ebay auction for you. It says the Dell drivers are not very good and the the real manufacturer of the card has other drivers that work.

I bought a Crewave Card some time ago tried recently to install it on my Axim. I had the same error message when trying to get it to work. The ActiveSync worked fine, but the Driver and the Card would not link up.

If you remove the Application using ActiveSync and then reload it to the Axim, a XXXXXX.dll or .ddl file will be loaded, watch carefully and write down the name of the file including dll or whatever.

When you input the CF card Type in the full filename XXXXXXx.dll and hit OK. After I did that the card and the driver linked up and are now working fine. Let me know if this helps....

Also make sure you have downloaded and installed the CF timing update as this will stabilise and improve things.

I do this as a matter of routine to all X5's
