Pocket PC 2003...second edition?

I was thinking of updating my Axim X5 from PPC 2002 to PPC 2003 (see earlier post). I have noticed that some PDA software requires PPC 2003 Second Edition as a minimum requirement. What is this second edition? How is it different than the initial PPC 2003 edition? (Just for kicks I called Dell to see if my X5 would support PPC 2003 second edition. They said "no")

The question is irrelevant. The X5 cannot be upgraded to PPC2003Se as operating systems are device specific. That is the X5 will only use ROM /OS systems specifically written for it.

ppc 2003 ( ROM A05) is as far as you can go with the x5.

and Yes, their are some differnces, most as subtle, but sufficient to make a difference.
