Unhappy How to send an attachment on X5

Further problem with my Axim... or likely rather with me! When I'm e-mailing--no matter what service i use, i.e. AOL, Lycos, Hotmail, etc--I can't seem to send attachments. I can send text, but not a lousy picture. Some of the email services tell me where to click to attach a file but when I do click there, I get nothing, i.e. I can't browse to find the image to attach. On my PC, I can browse fine, but not on the PDA. What gives?

Is it that these email services aren't Axim friendly, and if that's the case, which one is?
Or, perhaps, it's me? Perhaps I should just hand my PDA to a gerbil, maybe it would have better luck!
    ... now I know why I drink!

(Points of note: I have a Pocket PC 2003 with Windows Mobile 2003 ... perhaps that's redundant, I don't know. Please refer to my gerbil comment above!))

I'm using the standard messaging service on the X5 and also X50v.

I select the account I want ( pop3 or outlook in mycase), then New ( for a new message) then select Tools - Add attachment. I then have an option to browse the PDA to find my file.
