I use a CF flash update P25_NK-H-07170300EN.IMG for Axim Advance (400MHz) but still came up the same result...

Am my Axim X5 done here?

Is there any reason for me NOT to upgrade to 2003? I currently am running 2002 and have been quite happy.

Is 2003 faster or more reliable? I know about the notification pile-up bug but that doesn't concern me. I mostly use my Axim for GPS and Mp3s and would like to be able to use larger cards. Thanks for any help

Edit: I went ahead and upgraded using Dell's utility and the instructions involving the hex code. Went without a hitch. I backed up my existing PPC2002 ROM in case I want to go back. Unfortunately all of the updates on Dell's site including the audio drivers and CF timing update are down so we'll see when they come back. If anyone knows where else to pick these up I'd appreciate it.

I tried reset and a window pop up "To clear all data in the memory, press contact. To cancel this operation, press mail."

I tried both buttoms but it stills just show blue background w/ Dell logo...

I've seen this once before.

Rumove both batteries for about 1 hour and then try again.

I tried but still not work...
and I also ran Diagnostic Mode (v.1.17) to check hardware but found no problem.

May be a crazy idea, but turn over your x5, remove the main battery and also the two bottom small rubber covers for the screws ( one either side of the battery).

loosen the 4 screws , install the battery and hard reset.

It could be that the you have a screen ribbon problem or just dirt between the screen and case.

Other than that , I am now at a loss as to what to sugeest.

How long are you waiting for the system to start after you flash the ROM ???

about 6mins to flash the ROM...
