Contact list thinning on the AXIM

I imported all of the firm's contacts....tooo darned many, ran out of space on the axim.

How can I delete the ones I don't need and keep the rest? I know that I can edit a single one at a time....useless when you have over 1000. How can I delete several at a time?

The problem is that what you use must be able to know why you are selecting, so I think it will have to be a manual selection.

Can you download or import your contacts database into Outlook or outlook express ??.

If you import the database into Outlook or outlook express, you can then thin out the ones you do not want using a standard PC and screen that will show you 40 or so contacts per time. Right clicking the mouse on the contact to be deleted whilst holding shift will allow multiple selections for deletion.

Once you have removed the contacts you do not want, you can use activesync to download the remaining ones onto your axim.
