Backup Battery

For the last a few days I am constantly checking that my Axim is using the backup battery instead of using main battery.

I concluded from the scenario, Last night I turned on my axim and played songs on my axim.

Initially, the main battery was on 100% and the backup battery was on 80%.

After sometime, I again checked and found that the backup battery is 70% and the main battery still on 100%.

and today in the morning I checked that both the batteries are on 100%.

It means my PDA is using backup battery instead of main battery.

Can any one tell me whether my conclusion is corrected or not
and also if this is correct then how I can set my axim to use main battery instead of backup battery?

I have X5 with 300Mhz processor.

actually it does not mean your axim is using the backup battery instead - the X5's backup battery is *not* rechargable, if it goes down it can't come back up. therefore the changes in the reported battery level have to be a result of an inaccurate battery meter.
