Active Synch timing out - help!

Since I installed Pocket Windows 2003 my active synch connection has been timing out while the X5 is idle in it's cradle. The USB connection is still god, but the Active Synch icon disables and synching is off.

Anyone know of a setting that deals with this? I've been through all menu options several times, on the X5 and in Active Synch, and cannot find out why it's doing this.

Did you delete the association with the desktop PC after upgrading to the new OS? I'm no expert but i've had to do this to solve active sync problems before. Simply disconnect the pocket pc, delete the association then put the pocket pc back in it's cradle, it'll recognize then set up the association again, maybe it'll help. Good luck.

I noticed the same timeout issue and my install is brand new - no upgrades. I would be interested in knowing if schoon's solution fixed your problem.

What exactly do you mean by "delete the association", and how do I do this? This is not a file association.

Schoon means deleting the partnership with your PC.

With your ax discontected open activsync and click on file>delete partnership

This will clear any existing settings on your PC - so it's a good idea to back up your ax first.

However - in my experience this hasn't solved a problem I have with irregular timing outs of my sync since "upgrading" to wm2003 - so you could give it a go - but I'm not convinced it will solve your issues.
