Yeah, it probably does have a registry of some sort, but I am assuming that if all the data got lost, you could somehow reinstall the Windows OS using the CD that came with it. .... or maybe the Windows software is permanent firmware in the memory???

It is, but what I'm saying, is that you wouldn't have all the registry entries for the programs you have "backed up" onto your hard drive. That's the difference between file copies and actual backups. The backup program is there for a reason. Don't you think?

How do you do an incremental backup any way? <_< I've never have heard of that one.

Incremental backup just backs up what has changed since the last full backup. So you have to do the full first. In my opinion the best way to do any of the PPC backups is to do it through the Active Sync window on the PC.

The major choice to make in that screen, other than where to store the backup file, is FULL or INCREMENTAL and that's it.

I have mine jammed full and it took about 50 minutes to do the Full and then about 30 to do the incremental a day later.
