Large Files

I´ve just bought a Kingston 256 compact flash card and I´m trying to put a file on the card that is 210 meg but windows xp won´t copy it. It just starts over when half the file is completed. I´ve tried to but 240 meg of data in smaller files and that works fine but not one big file of data. Anyone with a solution?

Have you tried to copy this file onto the CF card with a media card reader/writer (preferably USB 2.0)?

No because i have no reader/writer exept the axim.....................

I would suggest buying one. I know for me, it is alot easier to transfer files. And they are very inexpensive. I bought I multi-slot card reader for about $18 including shipping. It reads my cf and sd cards as well as my storage cards for my digital camera.

There is a file size limit. I think its at about 10 - 15 megs. I'll check around and find out for sure.

I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

My job has me EXTREAMLY stressed out right now and I don't have much time for anything else.

Hello Everyone,

I just purchased a 256MB CF Card yesterday and installed it. Now, my question is: How do I move files to the CF? I am still learning to navigate the Axim. Is there an equivalent to "Drag and Drop"? The next question is: Is there a way to designate the CFC as the prefered storage method for certain files so that when I sync it automatic stores there?

I need your wisdom! Thanks in advance guys. :P

As for moving the files to and fro, when your device is cradeled (connected to PC), you can choose the "Explore" from ActiveSync toolbar and just drag and drop files around. That is the easiest way.

As for the default medium of storing some files, do you mean that when you sync files via activesync? I am afraid active sync only syncs data in "My Documents" in RAM. So to put and get the files from the card, you have to opt the way I described above.
