Connect Plus Driver Problems

I tried the new drivers for the connect plus.

I spoke with San Disk technical support. Apparently, the chipset Dell uses has problems with the dual function card that are, at this point, insurmountable. Althoug Dell sells the card as Axim compatible, San Disk reports that Dell may not have tested the card with the Axim.

With the new drivers, the wi-fi appears to be working well. The issue for me was problems with formatting the card. Also, once I finally managed to get the card formatted, it would not allow me to move a file to it greater than 1.8MB. The Dell support tech said this was normal for CF cards. My experience is that this is not true. SanDisk also confirmed this as a flaw that a number of Axim users are experiencing. They recommended I return the equipment until Dell solves the issue. I am. Too bad. I otherwise like the Axim.

Yes, this is common. Just return your sandisk cf for a better brand. Simpletech, panasonic, lexar.......... whoever floats your boat. Just don't use sandisk.
