Hello everybody,
I'm about to buy an Axim X5 400Mhz in Belgium.
I would like to know whether they are equiped with an intel Xscale 250 or Xscale 255 (200Mhz system bus) ?
Thanks in advance

I'm like 99% sure that brand new ones have the Xscale pxa255 processor in them.

If they are "new", then they have the PXA255.

You will get a 255 unless you buy a refurb (then, you can't be certain). Just so you know an axim w/ppc 2002 is running a 100 mhz fsb. The only way to have a 200 mgz fsb is to buy a brand new ax w/a 255 chip and running WM2003. I have a 250, oh, how I wish I had a 255!!!

The ROM upgrade does not change the processor that you have. The old axims came w/a PXA250 (what I have) that is capable of 100 mhz fsb. I think around april/may of this year they started sending new axims out w/a PXA 255 that is capable of 200 mhz fsb (to my knowlegde that is how WM2003 speeds up the axim).
Hope that clears everything up for you darkchild.
