Updating Calendar

I was a long time Palm IIIxe user. Changed to the Axim and truly love it.

With Palm I could update etc either on my laptop or on Palm and sync the two.

I could open the calendar or contacts on my laptop make changes and sync that with my Palm.

I haven't figured out if I can do that with the Axim and its software, does anyone know if that is possible?

You most certainly can do this. You use Microsoft Outlook 2000 or above (whatever you are syncing with) to make changes to your contacts, calendar, etc.

It should sync up without a hitch. You have to make sure your settings in the ActiveSync software are set to sync up with your desktop software, however. In ActiveSync, under Options, there is the "Rules" tab. This dictates whether or not ActiveSync replaces the item on the device if there is a conflict between the data on the desktop and the data on the Axim.


Also, under Options, the first tab, "Sync Option" lets you individually control how ActiveSync syncs each of the items: Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Favorites, Pocket Access, Inbox, Notes, Files, and AvantGo...as well as other items you may have installed.

Hello All,
My laptop got hit by a virus so I had to format the HD and reinstall the OS. Now I've lost all my contacts in Microsoft Outlook but I still have them on my AXIM. The trouble is, upon synching with ActiveSync the contacts are not transferring to the laptop. In Rules setting I've enabled the rule which allows items to merge instead of writing over on either device. I can sync tasks, favorites, and Avantgo, but for calendar, contacts and Inbox it says, "see status on device" but the AXIM device isn't giving any messages.
Any suggestions/tips/help will be appreciated.

just go into async>tools>options>select contacts>settings>make sure the "sync all contacts" is selected
