Thinking of Buying 300MHZ X5

Palm died so I want a Pocket PC. Looking at the X5 300Mhz. How long does the battery last? How often do they freeze? Can the onboard memory be upgraded?
My use is Outlook, Excel, Word, Acrobat ect.
Thinking of the thumb keyboard or should I get the 2nd battery and cradle?

If you like to used word so much or you really like to edit or do you'r work in there........I realy suggest you buy it becouse I 'm also a long time Palm user( m100, m130 and m515) which I'am really have to say using word in Pocket Word is so much greater then Doc's To go. The only thing thats not so great is that when you try to copy and paste something lats say a review from Zdnet.com, it allways strip of the pic of the reviewed product. Baterry life has been great with the 1440mh, you don't need the 3000mh something , but if you have the money...buy it. The onboard memory can be upgraded to about I think 128mb, but your warenty would be void. The Axim would not freeze so much if you instal the right application or you used it properly. But I think in your case( if you are using only Word or excel)....then you are doing fine ...don't worry) Whats your last Plam?. If you have any question of compering the Axim with a Palm or the software and hardware inside, just shot and ask..ok? Hopes thats halp

Well I ordered the X5 last night with the thumb keyboard and spare 1440 battery as well as the cradle and USB cable. My old palm was a IIIXE worked fine but!!!!!!!
