I called SanDisk today, and their position, from technical support, as of Noon Today (EDT), was that the SanDisk Cards do not work in the AXIM. The problem has been escalated to level 2 support to resolve this issue, but in the meantime...they are globally saying it's a NO GO! I have had a 64 meg SanDisk card in my AXIM for over 4 months now, and no problems with it.

A lot seems to have to do with size and where they were made:
Up to 128M, most folk have no problems.
Over 128M, made in Japan seem OK, too.
Over 128M made it Taiwan are the ones that cause problems most often.

Sandisk have confirmed to me that any L-series SD card can (and probably will) go wrong in an Axim. So if it hasn't yet - it will... Run my test - by the time you get to test three it'll be buggered...
Try reading this: http://support.dell.com/us/en/kb/document.....asp?DN=1082866
What's a L-series card? Well AR0304LR, 0212LR and AK0103MM are good examples - the second but last character is an L...
My suggestion? Get it replaced while you can! (Even if its working - their new N series cards are a lot faster for both reading and writing)

I went thru hell getting a replacement because someone dropped the ball the first time through the process. Even though they assured me that the new card was the right one, they did not ship an "N" series and now I have the "dot" problem and I got my first message about needing to format the card. This is getting ridiculous and annoying. Incidentally this card is model #AR0306MM (I had my suspicions when I opened the new package...) and, the SanDisk 128MB card this is replacing has worked with no problems! It is 0201LM (fairly old card...) Time to call SanDisk...

After having SD card experience with 5 Axims at once (don't ask!) I'm under the impression that - and you lot are going to like this - that the whole flippin' problem with the Axim and SD cards is down to - the Axim.
Five Axims - and two N-Series 256mb SD cards. Works in two Axims, fails in the other three. Both cards works in the 1st Ax, then fails in the 2nd Axim then WORKS in the 3rd and fails in the 4th & 5th.
That can't be the SD card can it?

I have two 256MB cards: one is AR0307NC made in CHina, the other is AR0307NC, also in CHina.
SHould I try to have SanDisk replace these? So far they seem good...and the word is N series are OK, right?
