Is a Frontal Labotomy Permanent?

I have a 400 MHz X5 since Feb03 and it has worked fine until about 3 weeks ago. At that time, I noticed that placing my PDA in the cradle elicited the "beep" but generated no sync. Desktop showed "Mobile Device" attached but did not achieve connection. All previous files, applications, etc still on desktop and PDA, independently. Decided to download and install ActiSynce v3.7 (build 3083) to no avail.

Now considering taking the install cd and reloading the whole shebang.

Question: Will I lose all my data by doing this? Will it merely create/renew my connection? Will it not solve my problem and create many more?

Do a Soft Reset first ...then try connecting to it again ...that should do the trick.

There is a possiblity that you have tons fo application running in the background ...and you dont have enough memory for ActiveSycn to work.
