When I boot my axim, the alignment screen pops up as normal, but when I complete it, it just keeps popping back up and will not continue on to the OS. Any ideas?

Since this is the first time you have used your Axim (at least, I assume), I would try a hard reset. Maybe something is corrupted and a hard reset is going to fix it.
To do this, hold down the suspend button and then with your stylus, press the reset button. Tap on the confirmation that you want to reset the unit and then restart it.
If you have already used your Axim and have data on it, let us know and maybe there is something else we can suggest.

Yoyo1 and Duckman ...you don't have to do a hard reset for this problem. You have to continue doing it until it actually brings you back up to the OS. Your screen is totally out of alignment, and it might take you 4, 5, 6, 7 or even more than that to fully align the screen.

Really??? It just keeps prompting for a tap until it can orients itself?
I hard-reset a test Axim at my office regularly and have to re-digitize it, and it has never asked for more than 3 taps.
Thanks for the tip RommelS, now I know.....and knowing is half the battle! (A quote for you GI Joe cartoon freaks out there)

I've experience that problem with a user of mine a few months ago ...and she was getting upset, and wants to get rid of her Pocket PC. In fact even planning of purchasing a new one.
In other words ...I had to do it 8 times until it finally got back to the OS. In her situation, she cannot even tap on the right icon.

My buddy's Screen on his Ax wouldn't
align after several attempts. I hard re-set
it and no go. After several more tries I removed
the screen saver and viola it aligned after four
taps!
