Help! :w00t:
All the hardware buttons on my pal's month-old X5 went non-functional at once and now none of them work.
The unit froze up while she was reading in uBook, and she couldn't turn it off using the power button. Removing the battery to get the serial number effectively reset the unit. No data was lost, and all screen-taps seem to work fine.
She can power it down by letting it time itself out, and power it back up on the cradle or by re-inserting the CF card. While she waits (hopelessly, I suspect) for a response from Dell, can anyone here offer any insights into what might have gone suddenly so wrong?
