I've had mine for 7 month's, most of the time in my Proporta Aluminium Case, so the spraypaint has only come off around the stylus and the CF-slot.
The quality of the spraypaint is obviously not the best quality, but on my old iPAQ's the paint started peeling off in the edges to as I remember...

My Axim is doing fine after all the hard resets and soft resets from testing applications. In any case, one thing that I didn't like about the Axim is the stylus ...I guess it is too flat for me, so I use a Pen/Stylus when I use it.
Other than that, it is a great investment.

I love my Axim. I've had it since December 25, 2002! I actually didn't LOVE the stylus, and I have a PDA Panache black metal stylus with a cool orange tip. The stylus makes it a bit cooler to use for me. It's also kind of heavy, which gives me more of a durable feeling when I use it. About the Axim, though, I can't complain. I can't wait to get my PPC 2003 Upgrade CD though.

I'm in month 6 with mine, and I don't know how I ever did without it! (The Axim is my first handheld computer.) It's with me all the time, and in constant daily use. I love it.
It lives in a Krusell case, so the finish is intact. I could have taken better care of the screen, I guess. I poked a hole in the rubber grip with my stylus by pressing too enthusiastically on the Record button.
If I were to wish for anything, I guess I'd kind of wish it were a phone, too. Otherwise, it's one of the best purchases I ever made.

Hey all,
I have had my AXIM 400/48/64 for six months now...use it every day, take notes with it in class, connect it to a data projector and show PowerpointŪ presentations using MARGI-TO-GO Presenter and just love it to pieces, but, the design of the carrying case seems to easily allow the device to be turned on when I'm transporting it. No problems with the cosmetics of the unit, but I have a couple of questions/problems to post.
Does anyone know the status of the SanDisk SD 128 and 256 Meg cards and compatibility with the AXIM...have those issues been resolved yet?
I hear that Pocket PC 2003 (Mobile 2003) will not be released by Dell until September 19?
Does anyone know if one can load programs onto a card and run 'em from the card (either CF or SD)?
Does anyone know of another source for a different stylus?
Thanks...
Dan

Hi all,
So far my Axim is holding up great. I've had it for 4 months. Except for the problem with the 256sd cards I love it. I have two questions: my Axim keeps losing time, anyone else notice this? Next question, which is the best case you all think?
Thanks, Grimm
