I am happy, yippee. I just received my AXIM today (it's at home and I am at work ). I think that I read somewhere that it has the ability to sync between 2 systems. For example, at home I only want the calendar to sync and work I want email and contacts to sync.
Anyone tried this yet and do you have any words of wisdom? Also is this a 2002 ability or ASIM's?
Thanks!
Happy PPCing!

Congrats on your new PPC!
Yes, you can create as many partnerships as you want on seperate computers. You can easily go in and choose what to sync on each machine.
All this provided that you carry your cable with you.
Have fun with it!

Not true!!! Please read!!! If you read the help topics you will find that you can set up true default partnerships to only Two computers. And inbox sync from only one. Now this limitation does not seem to affect Eloyd, but it is a limitation. So, they will be able to sync email and contacts at work and only sync calender at home. You can set up a "Guest" partnership with any other computer, but it only allows you to transfer files to your PPC, it does not "sync" under a guest partnership.
Sorry to contradict 2_hotty, but I have been through the wringer for a few days trying to understand this myself.

Thanks Aaron. I have my e740 set to sync with my laptop, and my desktop. I only have it sync with my inbox on one though. I was assuming I could set it up the same way with any other desktop. Now I'm assuming that the partnership limitation will be the same with my Toshiba, as it is with your Axim since it is the same software, but I will test it on my second desktop. Let's see if I can set up 3 partnerships......

Thanks folks! I hooked it up last night -- and up until 3:00am this morning playing with it and adding stuff.
I found out right away about the guest mode or "true" partnership and that takes care of my needs.
I finally figured out how to move stuff around in the start menu too. I know have MS-Office, Reading, Game, and Utilities folders all set up just the way I like. And am now looking at a couple of my own Themes that I created; my company logo and Jennifer Alias Garner. Cool and easy.
Also it is as advertised, a great machine at a good price. Yes the case is clunky, but it fits in my old Visor Deluxe cases (tight but it works for me). So all is well at the Elyod cube.
Thanks again!

2_hotty,
on some of my other posts I.E. "Sync stops halfway through", I mention my suffering with the sync process recently. I had the AXIM mailed to my parents as that is where I would be when it arrived. So I took my company laptop that I use while on travel, and set up a partnership on it. That worked well. After I did that, I read about the partnership limitation, so when I got home I only set up as guest on my home desktop. (Kind of a pain as each time you connect it re-asks if you want to set up a partnership)
Then I went to work to set up my remaining partnership on my work Desktop. Have had many problems with that I.E. the stop halfway through and disconnect thing. So I am still reading and trying to figure all this mystery out. What I would not give to know the guy who actually wrote all these programs. We have some very gifted programmers at work (NOT ME!!) but without being able to look at the code, or having a debugger, what can they tell me??
I am about to the point that I want to learn how to debug and program on this thing so I can try to fix the bugs I find. Oh, I need more hours in the day!!!

Aaron, I'm not sure those are bugs. I think those are security features that were designed to be in the syncing software.
