I was so excited my wife bought me this for Christmas!!! I was a little upset about the flaky d-pad and the flaky customer service from Dell, but what can you do? Besides the D-Pad, I absolutely love the machine!

I am glad that I bought it! I have not had any problems with my d-pad yet, but I am waiting for it to happen. <_<
Everything else about the machine is top notch in my opinion. Going from a Palm to Pocket PC has been a great experience.

This device has changed my whole thinking about PDAs. I used to think it was too much to ask a small handheld to do things that a desktop could do, but Dell has put together a top notch device that almost takes the place of a laptop in some cases. I have tried everything you can do on this thing and it has performed very well. I have not experienced any big problems with it and it continues to perform well.

Being an easy mark. It is what I expected, with the exception of the poor d-pad (see Computer Ninja's comments) and the poor audio voice playback of audio notes (read comments everywhere).

I have the Axim 300 and this post may sound like a advertizement for Dell and Pocket PC.
This is my first PDA and think these machines are best invention since sliced bread. I used to believe a PDA was just a fancy organizer but was amazed that almost everything I use the PC for I could also do on the PDA. That one can access the internet, post e-mail and use documents on a portable device at such a low cost is really amazing.
The big advantage of the Axim over other brands from what I can tell, besides the price, is the double exspantion slots. This allows for more flexibility.
In fact, if I had to choose between a PDA and a PC I would be hard pressed to decide which to go with.
Gee, I think I would choose the PDA over the PC. There are places I can read an e-book that would be impossible to take a desktop....
