Need help with adding programs

Im really new to the Axim. I just recieved mine in the mail yesterday. I bought so I could read ebooks on it but it wont read normal word files or pdf files. I have downloaded 7 different programs that were supposed to read pdf's or convert them into pocket word format but NONE of them work. Im getting irritated and fed up considering I did this 6 hours straight yesterday and over worked my comp with downloads. I seriously need a program that will read my pdf ebooks and a step by step guide on how to install it on my Dell Axim X5 400MHZ. Please help me out. Im ready to throw this device against the wall.

You can download Adobe reader for pocket PC here. It is a desktop .exe file, so very simple to install, sync the axim with your PC, and run the downloaded program, this will install reader on the axim

I just downloaded Adobe PDF reader for my handheld and I wanted to thank you! It is saving me sooooo much time. I dont have to convert my pdf's to text then to .doc 's anymore. There are some things I dont like about it but I can deal with those issues, their nothing compaired to what I had to deal with before. Thanks!
