Pocketop Keyboard

I received my Pocketop Keyboard yesterday, loaded the drivers and started typing away !!! It worked without a single hitch. I love it's feel and design, the fact that it is iR (wireless), compact (folds to make it's own case w/ the pda stand attaching to it as well), looks great and works even better.

Very glad I made this purchase as I would prefer direct entry into my Axim rather than on the desktop PC and synching the info. over to the pocket PC, or trying to use the stylus w/ a screen keyboard.

I can type 80+ words per minute and the keyboard keeps up flawlessly with me. :P

I bought a separate case from Wilson Leather that holds my Axim, business cards, credit cards, cash, receipts, has a to do pad w/ pen and storage pockets, so I use the Dell leather case I got with the Axim to carry this Pocketop Keyboard/Stand, extra Axim battery, and storage cards. Great combination . . .

I'm thinking about buying this keyboard too. I like how it uses IR so I can use it with my future pocket pc too, but I have a question...
Can I put the keyboard in my lap with the axim on the stand and type away? Does the axim stay on the stand, so that if I lift my leg or get pushed or something, the axim won't fall of the stand and fall crashing to the floor? Or maybe I can put velcro on the axim and the stand so it'll stick?

ok.. nevermind my last post...
I was under the impression that the stand could be attached to the keyboard, but after looking at some more pictures, it doesn't seem that way.

oh well... I'll still probably buy the keyboard

Thanks for the review AXIMMAB. I am going to get one too now. Just have to wait for a paycheck or two. I just bought one for my Visor Deluxe and then the Visor broke, so that is why I am a happy AXIM owner now.

Oh well, anyone want to buy an Handspring VISOR keyboard?

It loosk pretty good, I might reccomend this one to one of my friends who is lookng for a remote keyboard that he can use across multiple PDAs. As for me, I have the foldable keyboard from Dell, and that one works out pretty well. I carry both the Axim and the Keyboard in my jeans pockets most of the time, and although the dell one has somewhat smalelr keys than a full-sized keyboard, I Can still type pretty fast on it (65 or so) and it enables me to type without looking at the letter recognizer.

But the keyboards, of any kind, make the PDAs about three times as useful IMO. (Especiall considering the primary purpose of my axim is for notes)
