I had the same problem. You need to go to Start/Settings. Tap on Connections. Tap on AvantGo. Make sure that the profile being used to sync up has your AvantGo userid and password.
If you are syncing AvantGo using ActiveSync from your PC. Go to the Control Panal and open up the AvantGo appelet. Check the profile and make sure that your userid and password is being used to log onto AvantGo.
