It sounds like you want some justification to continue to use the AXim. Right?
for the money, you are buying a lot more functionality with an axim. just my opinon.
What do you want to do with your pda?

Poor guy...He can't decide whether he sells his Axim or not. Think of the ones who are not able to buy such a device. Everybody...let's give him a hand. Do you guys think he should sell it or not? Boy, this could become such a great poll. I strongly advice you not to sell it and make yourself a huge favor by installing (ASAP) a GOOD dictionary on your Axim...it'll come handy when writing your next post. (Sorry, I couldn't help it)

Darkchild... just think of how much more powerful the Axim is over the PalmOS devices out there!!! The Palm world is huge, indeed, but the Axim is a fantastic device, with all sorts of expandability (SD and CF slots). There are tons of devices out there already for it (GPS, IR extenders, wireless cards, etc.).
If, for some reason, you truly want to get into a PalmOS device, be sure to let the users here know you want to sell your Axim. Use the Classifieds forum to post it.

Here's a few suggestions:
Do some research. Look for some websites (search google, etc) for stories that compare Pocket PC vs. Palm, PDAs, etc. PC magazine did a story on it recently:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1025605,00.asp
Depending on your useage, those stories should help you decide what device is right for you.
Thankfully many stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples, etc) allow you to purchase products and return them within 15-30 days for a full refund. Just don't throw anything out! As long as you have the boxes, receipt, etc you can return it usually without any questions asked. After doing some reasearch and have found another PDA you are considering, buy it and try it out for a few weeks and see what you like better.
You may find out that you like the pocket PC better than the Palm after all (or maybe not). Whichever one you decide in the end, you'll at least feel better that you did some research and settled on a device that is right for you.
Hope this helps.

Hey darkchild,
If that is all you use your pda for, why not just add pocket informant for the PIM.
It works great and it is cheap to buy, $20.00.
Windows media player will do the mp3, as will any number of aftermarket software.
If you want to surf the net with your toy/tool you will need an access plan no matter what system you use.
I have no experience doing a surf on palm os and a pda. Anyone else?
sounds like you would want the faster processor and larger available memory of a pocket pc, not the pleathora of programs for palm.
