Optimizing Notifications and alarms

Hi,

I am a new Axim user and was wondering if I can get some suggestions on optimizing the notification features.

Firstly I notice that whenever I don't use the Axim for a day, the alarm doesn't notify me anymore. However, when I turn it on, the notification message is there. Has anyone encountered this issue ? Ideally, I would like the alarm to function even if I haven't turned it on for a whole day.

The next issue is that I would prefer not to have all my notifications from outlook sync with the Axim. Is there a feature where I can optionally choose which of my appointments on Outlook I want to sync with Axim.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site Yogir, firstly, there should be a setting in notifications that allows the notification to wake the Axim, [you did say x5 right, been a while since I've had one] as far as selective syncing, I don't know of any way to do that, not even through third party apps. When it comes down to it, the mobile outlook database is the thing that syncs to your PC, and any third party PIM manager is just a shell for that database!
