One of the greatest features I enjoyed of my Palm was the ability to keep up with birthdays and anniversaries. No two ways around it, I'm pretty scattered brained.
Luckily for me, Jaemok Jeong wrote a program called Happy Days. I read somewhere that this was an adaptation of a previously existing application - wanting to give credit where credit is due. For those not familiar, Palm Addresses held four customizable fields. If you renamed one of the fields "Birthday" and populated it with a valid date, Happy Days would automatically populate that date with the contact's name. There were other features as well.
Adendum:
I seem to have missed that Outlook apperantly autopopulates the birthday. Please disregard this post. Or in the immortal words of Tweak, "oh no, I'm going insane!" :w00t:
