Has anyone had experience with their Axim becoming "sluggish". This is noticeable when starting a new program, especially when switching between calendar, contacts, notes, etc. I'm using "Pocket Informant 4" as an adjunct to the normal Pocket Outlook.
My processor is 400 MHz. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you done a soft reset? This will sometimes clear things up for me.
Also, you have the 400 MHz Axim, but is it truely running at 400 MHz. To check, go to Start/Settings Tap on the System tab then tap on Power. In the Power screen, tap on the Processor tab. Change the Axim to Normal. This will ensure that your Axim is using 400 MHz speed at all times.
Hope that this helps!

You may also want to see how many programs you have "running" in the background. When you close some of the programs on your Axim, they don't truly close. Goto Start-Settings-System-Memory-Running Programs and see how many you have running. If there is a load of progys running, close some of them and see if that helps.
A soft reset does this for you, as well, and is not a bad idea to do every once in a while.

There is a good solution to the problem with the "X" button not closing programs. If you go to Handango.com download a trial version of Pocket Plus version 1.2.2
Tell you what, after the 15 days of trial is up, you will be willing to shell out the $9.95 for this "essential" tool. I love it and would not run my Axim without it!

I'm using Pocket Plus on all of my devices. For what the application does, $9.95 is well worth it.

So Pocket Plus is better than the free WIS Bar app?

If you go to the links section and click on aximsite, you can go to downloads and download a program called magic button. This program will fix the X and allow it to close programs along with allowing you to see and close running programs and turn off the axim. Even better, it's free and easy. Dell also has a program called switcher bar which can be found under Start-Settings-and the 2nd tab. This allows you to close running programs, but cannot fix the "x" problem.

Why go all the way to another site if you can download directly from this link
