Axim X30 will not display when charging

Hello,

I've had my Axim X30 for about 3 years now, and have just encountered a strange problem. The Axim seems to function fine on battery power, but the screen will not display when plugged into a charger. I've tried both a car charger, as well as the desktop sync/charger cradle.
While in the charger, it will charge to full power, but I cannot view or operate the Axim while it is in the cradle/charger (power button does nothing; screen remains black). Unfortunately, this also prevents me from updating/installing new programs, etc.

Any ideas?

Hm... lots of people reading this thread, but no replies?
I believe the same thing happened to me.
It was only when I, while it was charging in the charger,
luckily remembered how to do the settings, and adjusted
the screen brightness.
It is almost as if the screen automatically goes dimmer
and dimmer as the battery progressivly gets lower and lower.

Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it. Wow, I can't believe what a bonehead I am. LOL
This is exactly what happened. Somehow, the screen brightness settings were set to 'medium' on battery power, but were set at the lowest possible for when on external power. What an easy fix - and I can't believe I never looked at that.
Always look at the obvious first, right?
