Refurbished Axim X3i does not boot - need ROM

Hi All,

Sometime ago my wife bought for me in the US an Axim X3i (with WiFi, but no bluetooth). I was working OK for about 2 years, recently it started to have glitches, weird error messages, reboot when setting the time etc... and finally it doesn't boot anymore, stuck on blue DELL logo. Oh well, it may boot one time out of 500 tries, but next when you try to do smth it will crash and eventually go back to blue screen. It passes all the internal tests, and doesn't show any visible damage.

I know I'm not alone with this problem, and it may sound like FAQ, but i did search the net, and found that a lot of people reflashed their ROMs and got Axim to work again. However I haven't found anywhere a ROM file that is suitable for flashing from SD card. Actually I've tryed to flash with some image found on the DELL site, but it won't recognize the IMG file on the SD card.

Could someone direct me to (or send me) a ROM file for my model? Is there anywhere good step-by-step instruction on how to unbrick Axim?
Any suggestions?

Ok, I was able to find A02 ROM from some site, I do not remember now, and I flashed it from MMC card, SD didn't seem to work. Finally I was able to unbrick my Axim X3i, and it seems to work normally for about a week now.

If anyone suffering from the same DELL logo problem send me a PM.
