x30 internal speaker

Guys and Gals,
I have a X30 and I love it.
I am convinced that my internal speaker needs replacing.
I've searched the thread and did find some older mention of this problem.
Does anyone know if a speaker from a X5 will fit?
Will it work in my x 30?
How about part numbers - if anyone knows them for either, it may help.
I also have a X 5 that I will consider parting out if:
- I can get it away from my wife
- the speaker will indeed work.

Hi Sleepy-

I'm not sure but I doubt that the X5 speaker will work in the X30, mostly because the X30 is much smaller than the X5. Your best bet might be to find a broken X30 with a bad board and/or broken screen to part out for the speaker. You may even find that the speaker wire has somehow loosened and merely needs to be re-plugged in. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have been watching for X30 parts, and I'll keep doing it.
Loosened connection? I don't think so.
The reason I think it needs replacing is that with the volume up to max,
you can JUST hear the audio. If you know what is being said, you can hear it.
I don't think volum can be a software issue so, I'm betting on the speaker being bad.
The unit I got was used and I think someone has been playing some music
much too loud for a unit this size. Just today I did find a speaker about
an inch in diameter but we ruled it out because it was 8 ohm resistance.
