Problem with wifi in x30

Hi.
I bought a Dell Axim x30 (second hand) in xlnt condition.
Everything works fine except for the wifi.
I have the following problem.
I turn on the wifi, it finds all available networks, when I try to connect to one it asks for the password – if there is one - , but it never joins the network. The little aerial on top shows some signs of action (the little arrows that go left and right ) but only 2 to 3 times and then the aerial stays on its own. The signal strength bar graph at the bottom is transparent and only one green bar starts going from left to right and back again – as if it is searching for something-.
The funny thing is that once I managed to connect to my home network, I don’t know why since I do the same all the time. Can somebody help please?

There are a few common problems with wifi with the Axims. The most common one is when people try to connect to g only networks. The Axim's b card will detect them but never connect. Make sure you're running in b/g or b only on the router. Also, if you type in the wrong encryption key it may appear to connect but will not be successful. Thirdly, try changing the authentication type to mixed. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
I managed to connect to my network , a reset to my wifi speedtouch did it.
The problem now is that the signal strength bargraph disapeard, although I am connected. Any way thanks.
