x30i wireless connection

hi everyone,
i am a newbie and would appreciate some help please.
i have the x30i and a netgear wireless modem/router.
i can turn on wireless on my x30i, it finds my network, netgear, and asks for my network key, i am confused by this, is this the password which i use to log into my netgear modem ?i type this in but nothing happens i cannot connect to the internet at all.
My netgear is WPA encrypted, i would appreciate any help please.

Hi johnboy-

Have you tried using the Odyssey client? The Dell WLAN client doesn't work well with WPA, but Odyssey does. If that doesn't work, update the firmware on your router and make sure you're broadcasting in mixed B+G mode or B only.

many thanks for your advice, i will try this.
is there anywhere i can get step by step instructions on how to setup odyssey client, i have tried the help section on my pocket pc, but if you will appreciate, its difficult for a newbie to keep on having to revert back to help, i would like to be able to print out all i need and take it from there.
