attention required error
I have two axims model x3 that will not sync. I have them set up only to sync files with my Windows XP Pro sp2 with current updates computer using USB to connect to the axim. Neither Windows Firewall or any other firewall is enabled on either computer.
One computer is a dell latitude d820 with all the latest bios updates and drivers. Active sync version on that computer is 4.2
The other computer is a dell optiplex gx260 with the latest bios updates and drivers. Activesync version is 3.8
Two different things happen:
scenario 1 (mostly happening on the lat d820): Activesync does not recognize that the PDA is in the cradle. I place the axim in the cradle and the activesync icon remains grey. Windows makes it's usb connected bleep noise, so I know it's connecting as far as windows is concerned. I've hard reset the axim several times and it never fails to detect the axim when it's setting up the partnership. Sometimes it will even sycn once or twice before it stops recognizing the axim.
scenario 2 (mostly happening on the optiplex gx260): The icon for activesync will go from grey to green and it will act like it's connecting, it will say it's syncing the files, then it stops and says "attention required" on the files. Again, if I wipe the axim clean and set the partnership up again, it will sych the first time, but usually after restarting it will go back to "attention required".
Any ideas?
