    backup battery question

I have an Axim x30, and I get messages obviously stating 'backup battery very low. To prevent possible data loss.... yada yada yada.' My question is, is it possible to just ignore this message and the warnings? After all, from all the forums I've visited, replacing the backup in this thing will be a pain in the rear.

You can leave the bad backup battery in, just make sure your don't allow your main battery to fully discharge or the unit will hard reset and you'll lose your data.
