I have a Dell Axim X3 (Not a X3i). I would like to get connected to the internet and so far have not been able to do so. My X3 is a 400 MHz model and I am told it has built in internet access. Could someone please give me step by step instructions on how to get connected to the internet. I have called Dell numerous times and they cannot help me. I am going on vacation in a few days and would really appreciate any help anyone can give me. I have tried for four days to find out what to do and still no success. HELP PLEASE!!!!
This is so confusing. Dell tells me I do not need a card to get on the internet with a Dell Axim X3 that is a 400 MHz machine. 300 needs a card but the 400 does not. They tell me it is built into the machine. The articles you linked to me sounds like I do need a card and you are telling me I need a WiFi card to get onto the internet also. It is so confusing and I cannot find a wifi card in my area so that I could try it before buying it. Are you sure I need one? Why am I being told by Dell that what I need is built into the machine?
Dell support is not the best in my experience. Notwithstanding that (in their defense), I might have read about some X3s that did have wifi built-in as flukes or a short term release. It was a long while back, I can't verify it with a link. Chances are that your X3 doesn't have wireless (as was intended for the X3 line).
